about the founder & chef

Meet Jordin

I never went to culinary school, but the kitchen has always been my classroom.

My journey to becoming a chef has been shaped by curiosity, experience, and a deep love for bringing people together through food.

What started as a passion grew into my first business, Blush Cakes, where I spent years creating custom cakes, pastries, and sweet moments for my community. Through every order, every celebration, and every late night spent in the kitchen, I realized something, I wasn't just making desserts. I was creating memories.

But I always knew baking was only part of the story.

My love for cooking began at home. My parents were the first people to teach me my way around the kitchen, showing me that food was never just about the recipe, it was about care, tradition, and the people you share it with. As I grew older and spent more time creating in the kitchen, they began to see a gift in me that I didn't fully recognize myself.

The name Little Nooks is a piece of that story.

"Nook" has always been a special word in my family. It's the nickname my parents have lovingly called each other throughout their relationship. To me, it represents the kind of love, comfort, and connection that I hope every person feels when they gather around my table.

My love for savory cooking grew during my time working in the restaurant industry, where I found myself surrounded by people who quickly became more than coworkers, they became family. Through long shifts, shared meals, and the unique bond that comes from hospitality, I discovered that some of life's best conversations happen around a table.

When work ended, our time together didn't.

We started gathering in each other's homes, taking turns cooking dinner for one another, trying new recipes, sharing bottles of wine, and lingering around the table for hours. Many of us were entrepreneurs chasing our own dreams, while others were simply navigating the next chapter of life, and those evenings became something we all looked forward to.

Those dinner parties changed me.

They reminded me that a meal can be so much more than food. It can create belonging. It can strengthen friendships, celebrate milestones, and turn ordinary nights into memories that stay with you long after the dishes are put away.

Little Nooks was born from those nights.

From there, my passion for cooking continued to grow. I spent countless hours in the kitchen experimenting with flavors, learning new techniques, and challenging myself to become a more well-rounded chef. I found inspiration in my Southern roots, the countries I've traveled to, the restaurants I've worked in, and the people who have shaped my journey along the way.

The more I cooked, the more I realized what I loved most wasn't just creating food, it was creating experiences.

Today, Little Nooks is my invitation to gather. Through Southern-inspired dishes, thoughtful desserts, and intimate dining experiences, my hope is to create spaces where people slow down, connect, and leave feeling just a little more at home than when they arrived.

Because at the heart of everything I create is one simple belief:

Food brings people home.

Welcome to my table.

I can't wait to cook for you.

And to my dinner party family,

Thank you for every meal, every conversation, every laugh, and every late night around the table. You helped me discover the kind of chef I was always meant to become. Little Nooks exists because of those nights, and I'll always be grateful for each of you.
